In Loving Memory of Michael J. Felthager

Michael J. Felthager (October 4, 1959 – October 6, 2024)
Mike was always late for everything except his entrance (being born 2 months early in October
4, 1959) and his final exit (October 6, 2024). Being Jack & Mary Jo’s baby in the family, he was
regularly the recipient of sibling torture at the hands of Jack, Charlie & Kris or left at a lake
somewhere with a cousin or 2. (Hey Jimmy). From playing army and burning his brothers’
letterman’s jacket, to being tied between two trees with his back to the mountain, Mike grew up
with an appreciation for adventure.
He was first and foremost the husband and father that people envied. Always there with a smile,
story, and laugh. Come on over, let’s BBQ! There was never a problem big or small that he
couldn’t fix. From a piece of machinery to a refrigerator that was always too warm, or even a
broken heart, people were always heard to say “I don’t know…call Mike Felthager.” He would
answer with a “yep, yep, yep; it’s all good; or who knows?” But he always fixed it with the help of
his “featherless by now guardian angel.”
He was always a dreamer, creator, and inventor, finding success at many different times in his life, with
his final endeavor, Guardian Hydraulics was the best success!
Even with all his successes, the things he was proudest of are his children, Michelle & Dustin,
Meghan & Lucas, Mackenzi & Jaydin, Michael & Kaylynne, Molly, and Cody & Cindee.
His grandchildren though! There is where he shone with pride – Liam, Logan, Lane, Olivia,
Addisyn, Carter, Caleb, Justin, Levi, Jaydin Jr., Malachi, Issac, Hallie, KC, Wrenley, Savion &
Ayla and Cash. They had him right where they wanted him. They made his heart so happy. He
would go to ANY length to show his love. The love of his life and partner in crime, his wife of 43,
Tami would be the recipient to shower the most of his immense love on.
He made friends wherever he went, and they became lifelong friends. He should have run for
mayor. Trips to Walmart and Safeway were always full of handshakes and hugs…and took
Forever.
Always and to his dying day, Mike wore his Brown Scapular. Our blessed Lady’s promise to us
that “whosoever dies wearing this shall never suffer eternal flame.” His devotion to God and His
Blessed Mother were unmatched. We should all pray as much as he.
And finally – TRUMP 2024! *eye rolls* all around.
I’m not sure if you want something like this since you listed them in the obituary, just in a different way.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Mary Jo (maiden)
Felthager….???grandparents, or others??? Left to cherish Mike’s memory …..wife,
kids/grandkids, siblings, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and his best friend, Jim
Chongway.
