JW Academy fighter Steve Garcia is in Van Tate’s Sports Office

ALBUQUEALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Since moving to the featherweight division of the UFC, Jackson and Wink Academy fighter Steve Garcia has found a groove that has him racking up wins.

“I feel like this is like my prime, man. I feel like there’s several things, you know,” said Garcia. “My faith has been something that I definitely hold near and dear to my heart. What a lot of people don’t understand is that sometimes failure can lead to something great, if you let it, and, I suffered a loss back in, like, 22. I had two options. I could let it just, like, bring me down and just keep me in this bad place or you can get out there and do something about it. I was like, you know, what man I am going to give it everything I got every single time.”

Coronado Dog Park could soon belong to Creamland Dairy

Garcia has five straight knockouts, the longest active streak in the UFC. The man, affectionately known as “Mean Machine” talks about his career and how he got his nickname in Van Tate’s Sports Office.
