City looking for volunteers to help clean park, neighborhoods ahead of Balloon Fiesta 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A neighborhood cleanup event will take place in Albuquerque ahead of the 52nd annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, according to the city.

The City of Albuquerque Solid Waste Management Department and Keep Albuquerque Beautiful, in partnership with Imagine ABQ, will host the Fiesta Fanatics Cleanup Event at Balloon Fiesta Park and throughout Albuquerque.

Organizers are looking for volunteers to take part in the cleanup. Trash bags, gloves, trash pickers, safety supplies, and bag pickups will be provided. Those who volunteer at Balloon Fiesta Park will have a chance to receive free rewards:

Free Balloon Fiesta session ticket for the first 50 registrants to sign in

Interested Balloon Fiesta Park cleanup volunteers should sign up on the city’s volunteer registration website. Interested community cleanup volunteers should sign up on the One Albuquerque Volunteers website.
