Bombas donates socks to New Mexicans in need

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A van stuffed full of socks drove into Albuquerque Friday morning, and now, they’re on their way to people in need around the state. Boxes and boxes of socks were distributed to local charity groups, who will distribute them to the homeless in the city, children in need, and the Navajo Nation.

A total of 10,000 socks were donated by Bombas Socks. “Socks are very important because they get worn out right away, just like shoes. I have size 15 feet. I wear shoes out quickly,” says sock recipient Ricky Blackburn.

The organization Women To Be is also donating washable, reusable menstrual supplies for women in the state.
