NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed a new cabinet secretary for the Department of Information Technology. Manny Barreras is stepping into the leadership role for the department in charge of maintaining and servicing the state’s technology systems.
“I am honored to be appointed as Secretary of the Department of Information Technology. I look forward to working with Gov. Lujan Grisham and the dedicated team at DoIT to enhance New Mexico’s technology infrastructure, ensuring our state is at the forefront of innovation and providing the highest level of service to our residents,” said Barreras in a press release.
Barreras previously worked at Motorola as a senior account manager for New Mexico and Texas.
