Pair of red lionfish on display at ABQ BioPark Aquarium 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The ABQ BioPark is welcoming two fresh faces to the aquarium. A pair of red lionfish are now on display in the Gulf Past habitat upstairs near the river otters.

The BioPark said they are native to the Indo-Pacific region but are considered invasive in some areas. On average, the venomous fish can live up to ten years and can grow up to 18.5 inches long making them one of the biggest species of lionfish.
