Clovis police arrest man for breaking into home 

CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – Clovis police arrested a man on Friday after they said he terrorized a home and sent a school into lockdown. Police said 43-year-old Julian Montoya broke into a house on College Park Dr. while two people were inside. One resident locked themselves in their room. They called 911 and reported hearing 10-15 gunshots. The other resident took off and jumped through an open window.


Suspect dies during New Mexico police-involved shooting

Police said witnesses saw Montoya running toward Clovis Community College which sent it into lockdown. That’s where police found and arrested him.

Montoya was charged with aggravated burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, and felon in possession of a firearm.
