ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The second trial against Muhammad Syed, already convicted for murdering one Muslim man in Albuquerque in 2022, has been vacated.

Three Muslim men; Aftab Hussein, Mohammud Azfaal Hussain, and Neaeem Hussein were murdered during the summer of 2022. Muhammad Syed was arrested and charged for all three murders. The court ordered each charge to be tried separately.
Syed was found guilty in March of murdering Aftab Hussein. He was set to go on trial for the shooting death of Mohammud Azfaal Hussain. The trial was vacated and there will be a hearing to go over all pending matters in the case.
