ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man who deputies said drove around southwest Albuquerque trying to escape them earlier this year is now facing a federal charge. In January, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office said they recognized a car that led them on a chase twice that month including one over 130 miles per hour.
Deputies said the driver, identified as Jude Schulte, was finally stopped after being surrounded by BCSO vehicles. They said Shculte was smoking meth at the time and attempted to run again after climbing out the window.
Deputies said when they arrested Shculte, they found a stolen gun on him. He’s now facing a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
