More rain and storms are on the way this weekend as monsoon moisture continues to stream into the state. Southeast New Mexico will see the lowest chances for rain with high temperatures in the triple-digits. The rest of the state will see isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some rain showers may even stick around Saturday night into Sunday before more storms develop Sunday afternoon.
Even more monsoon moisture will stream into New Mexico early next week. This could increase the chance for rain even more so next Monday afternoon, with that good chance for rain into Tuesday. This will also bring high temperatures back to near and cooler than normal, finally, for much of the state. There is some uncertainty between forecast models starting next Wednesday though as to where the monsoon moisture will continue to stick around. Bottom line is, we will see some slightly drier weather return to New Mexico Wednesday and Thursday before another surge of monsoon moisture moves in next Friday.
