ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One of the busiest travel seasons is just around the corner and the Albuquerque International Sunport and TSA are getting ready for the upcoming rush of travelers. Officials at TSA spoke to KRQE News 13 about some of the common issues passengers run into.
They are asking passengers to make sure they don’t have any weapons accidentally packed in carry-ons and liquids of any kind are prohibited. “Any type of food that is solid is allowed. We have all kinds of little things that people can bring, my children like to snack. You can put in fruit, nuts, things like that into containers,” said Spokesperson Patrica Mancha, New Mexico TSA.
Parking is expected to be a challenge over the weekend, not only because of the influx of passengers but because parts of the Sunport parking lot are still under construction.
