Blue Hole reopens to scuba and free divers on August 30

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The City of Santa Rosa will reopen Blue Hole for scuba and free diving on Friday, August 30, 2024.

Residents in eastern and southeastern New Mexico asked to reduce power usage

Blue Hole had previously been closed after an underwater boulder broke off and reduced water flow. The city had reopened the tourist hotspot for swimmers at the end of July, and now scuba and free divers will be allowed access again.
