ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – On Thursday the UNM men’s basketball team announced that it will compete in the 2025 Hall of Fame Classic. The two-day tournament in Kanas City, MO will feature UNM, Kansas State, Mississippi State and Nebraska.
All four teams that will participate in the tournament finished the 2024-2024 season ranked in the top 75 of the NET. UNM and Mississippi State are both coming off an appearance in the NCAA tournament.
UNM has previously played Kansas State six times and holds a 2-4 record against the Wildcats. The Lobos only have one previous meeting against Nebraska, which was won by New Mexico. While UNM does not have a history against Mississippi State, the team is coached by former NMSU head coach Chris Jans.
The 2025 Hall of Fame Classic will take place November 20-21. Semifinal round matchups, game times, broadcast details and ticket information will be announced soon.
