‘Route 66 Centennial Murals’ project accepting Albuquerque applicants through April 30

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — In preparation for the centennial celebration, applications are now being accepted for a mural to be added to properties along Route 66. The Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency has partnered with Creative Campus Collective – Albuquerque Public Schools for this beautification project deemed “Route 66 Centennial Murals: Past, Present, Future.”

Six properties along Route 66 will be selected to receive a mural by Creative Campus Collective. Property owners have to paint the wall white, then choose from pre-approved mural designs. Applications are due by April 30 at 1 p.m. You can submit online.
