NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – WalletHub recently released it rankings of the most environmentally friendly states. The study compared all 50 states across 28 different metrics to rank which states are the most and least environmentally friendly. Some metrics include air quality, water quality, percent of renewable energy consumption, energy consumption and more.
New Mexico ranked in the bottom half of the rankings, coming in at 38th overall. The state ranked low in specific metrics, ranking 48th in water quality and 50th in soil quality. To view the full study and rankings, click here.
