It was an afternoon of ball games in Raton as the Lady Tigers hosted Tucumcari for a double header district matchup where Raton dominated the first game with 10 runs in the first inning.
Raton pitcher Hayden Middlebrook had one of her better games with seven strike outs to hold Tucumcari to only two runs in game one.
In game two of the afternoon it was a little more of a slug fest as both teams made contact with the ball and had a tie score in the first two innings before Raton rallied and tallied 13 runs in the third and finished the game with a 23-8 win in four innings. Aveah Marquez started the pitching for Raton and turned over the duties to Jaylyne Quintana for the save.
