Albuquerque woman sentenced for role in fatal 2023 carjacking 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque woman was sentenced Tuesday for her role in a deadly carjacking on the Fourth of July in 2023.

Lacy Cormier was with Juan De La Rosa and Joseph Griego when the group tried to carjack Alfonso Aguilar at the Luxury Inn near Central and Louisiana. When Aguilar refused, De La Rosa and Griego opened fire on him. Aguilar died at the hospital days later. Cormier pleaded no contest to robbery and conspiracy charges. Judge Joseph Montano sentenced her to three years behind bars. De La Rosa and Griego pleaded guilty to second degree murder, armed robbery and more. De La Rosa was previously sentenced to 24 years. Griego was scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday, but he refused transportation to court.
