Daffodils on sale in central New Mexico to support hospice house

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Daffodil bouquets are hitting shelves in central New Mexico, and the proceeds from buying them are going to a good cause for the 42nd annual Daffodil Days event. Volunteers with Presbyterian Healthcare are getting over 100,000 daffodils ready for sale on Wednesday.

Proceeds from flower sales go to support the Robert Wertheim Hospice House. “What we do is we take care of patients who are at end of life, who don’t really have family or friends or community support to take care of them during their end of life,” said Dr. Jairon Johnson, Medical Director, Presbyterian Hospice.

Last year, the Daffodil Days event made nearly $200,000 for the hospice. Boquets can be picked up at pop-up shops all across Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and Santa Fe. Boquets can also be delivered in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. To order a bouquet, call 505-724-6577 or online at this link.
