SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Demolition is now underway at the old Santa Fe Downs. A KRQE camera crew captured footage Friday showing the partially demolished grandstand at the Downs, located off of I-25 near the Veterans Memorial Highway.
The Pojoaque Pueblo currently owns the property and has not provided details on their plans. However, the La Cienega Valley Association said back in January the plans could include an amphitheater and mixed-use housing. No word on when the demolition will be complete.
