ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The top ranked team in girl’s class 5A, Hobbs, looked the part on Tuesday afternoon. In its quarterfinal round against No. 8 Clovis, Hobbs won 82-21.
The Lady Eagles dominated on all ends of the floor. Offensively, Hobbs shot 52.5% from the field and 50% from three-point range. The Eagles scored 44 points in the paint and generated 35 from fast breaks and 35 from the bench.
Defensively, Hobbs forced 32 Wildcat turnovers. Those resulted in 47 points. In total, the Lady Eagles had 22 steals.

With the win, Hobbs will now play in the semi-final round on Thursday at 1:15 p.m. The Eagles will play the winner of Farmington and Carlsbad.
