The original balloon was introduced in 2020, but after nearly 1,000 rides it was retired due to the fading of the design. “We actually thought about a redesign. When we floated the idea out, everyone said why would you change it, because it’s so beautiful. It branded us. Everybody knows it when they see it. It’s pretty much the same, it’s obviously a lot whiter, and new and ready to go,” IPCC President and CEO Mike Canfield said.

The design symbolizes the culture and sacred beliefs the Pueblo People of New Mexico. The balloon will fly 200 – 300 times per year and will participate in the Balloon Fiesta.
