Albuquerque Isotopes reveal new “City Roots” alternate identity 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Isotopes revealed its newest alternate identity. The ‘City Roots’ series ties in the history and culture of the community and pays homage to the origin of Albuquerque’s name.

The City Roots series features a 505 logo and a ‘Duke City’ logo. 505 logo commemorates Albuquerque’s area code. The interior of the ‘0’ features an outline of the state with the Zia symbol. The Duke City logo is written with blackletter font and pays homage to the significance of the city’s nickname. The Zia symbol can also be found within the lettering of the Duke City logo.

The City Roots series will be featured in five games this season:

  • Saturday, April 19
  • Saturday, May 17
  • Sunday, July 20
  • Saturday, August 23
  • Friday, September 5
