ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to an early morning fire shortly before 4 a.m. on Sunday near Zuni Rd. and Louisiana Blvd. Firefighters said the building is a mixed-use structure with a mechanic shop and residential area both sharing the same place.
Officials said crews worked for an extended period to extinguish the fire. They said that the residential part of the building was damaged enough that people would be displaced. Crews said the mechanic shop is salvageable.
No one was injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
