NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish announced parents who are behind on child support payments could be denied fishing or hunting licenses under New Mexico’s Parental Responsibility Act.
Every month, the child support program provides a list of parents that are behind on child support payments to state agencies that issue licenses. If a parent is behind on payments and then gets up-to-date, there will be a $25 reinstatement fee to get a hunting or fishing license.
