ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man responsible for a string of robberies at several businesses across the metro was sentenced. From June through August 2024, Brian Chavez broke into a Goodwill, Nice Ice, Tiny Bubbles Car Wash, and Twice the Ice.
Chavez was able to get away with thousands of dollars in cash and caused damage. Last year, Chavez pled no contest to several charges, including larceny and criminal damage to property.
On Thursday, Chavez was sentenced to five years behind bars.
