ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A Los Lunas man was arrested on Friday for the 2024 fatal shooting of a homeless man in downtown Albuquerque. According to Albuquerque police, Angelando Padilla is accused of shooting 51-year-old Christopher Sanchez “execution-style” near 2nd St. and Gold Ave in August 2024.
APD said Padilla fled the area but they were able to track him through downtown. In an interview with detectives, APD said Padilla admitted to the shooting.
He was arrested in Meadow Lake on Friday and charged with murder.
