ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County will host a public meeting next week to discuss the future of the state fairgrounds. Back in December, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham suggested moving Expo New Mexico from Albuquerque’s International District and redeveloping the existing property to ease the ongoing housing crisis.
The upcoming county meeting will provide details on the master plan process and the development of a Tax Increment Developmental District in the area. That meeting is set for next Wednesday evening from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the African American Performing Arts Center on San Pedro Blvd.
