BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County Animal Care Services is looking for volunteers to help with its spay and neuter clinics.
The clinics will take place on Feb. 21, 22, and 23 and Bernalillo County Animal Care Services is seeking up to 88 volunteers.

The clinic will provide spay and neuter surgeries at no cost to qualified pet owners, and volunteers will be key to supporting the clinic’s operations.
Available volunteer positions include:
- Transport volunteers: Assist in moving animals within the clinic area.
- Recovery volunteers: Provide care and monitoring of animal’s post-surgery.
- Data entry volunteers: Help with recording important information during the clinic.
- Instrument volunteers: Assist with sanitizing, packaging and preparing surgical instruments.
- Kennel Tech volunteers: Monitoring and caring for animals after surgery, cleaning kennels and ensuring animal safety.
All interested volunteers 18 and older are encouraged to apply regardless of experience.
