BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County Commissioners voted to pass an ordinance creating a low-income tax rebate of up to $350 for homeowners on their property taxes with an annual income of $24,000 or less.

The rebate will apply to the 2025 tax year and all years after. The county says it is planning an outreach program to make sure all who are eligible are aware of the rebate. The county’s Department of Finance said there are more than 65,000 tax filers in the county who could meet the low-income threshold.
