ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A new campaign across Albuquerque is emphasizing how community stability is fundamental to public safety. A coalition made up of different advocacy groups has launched the Safety Starts with Stability campaign, which can be found on billboards along both I-40 and I-25.
According to the 2025 New Mexico landscape poll, 79% of New Mexicans support increasing public safety which is something the coalition says is accomplished through housing, health care, and support services. The goal of the campaign is to urge lawmakers to consider policies to address public safety at the upcoming legislative session. The billboards will be on display until January 19.
