New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science to close for renovations in August 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science is closing for renovations starting in August. Officials announced that the museum’s lobby, box office, gift shop, atrium, and exhibition halls will all be renovated. Sewer lines will also be upgraded. In total, the renovations will cost about $3.67 million and will take around seven months to complete.

The museum is holding an event for the public where people can ask questions about the renovations. That will be on June 27 at 3 p.m. at the museum. Before the renovations begin, the museum is holding a free event the weekend of August 2 for the public to attend as well.
