CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – Christopher Vega was sentenced on Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and receiving stolen property earlier this year. In July 2024, Clovis police officers stopped a motorcycle that didn’t have a license plate.
Police identified Vega, who had an active parole violation warrant out of Texas, as the driver. They found that he had a handgun, which he wasn’t allowed to have as a felon.
Vega was found to be a habitual offender and was sentenced to ten years in prison.
