A cold front will moved in across eastern New Mexico last night, cooling temperatures off all across the state. Parts of eastern New Mexico could see highs as much as 20° cooler on today. A few spotty afternoon showers may develop this afternoon and Tuesday afternoon, but any accumulations would be light. Most of the rain would evaporate before reaching the ground.
Warmer weather starts moving in again Wednesday as winds start picking up again. Widespread windy weather is likely next Thursday afternoon. This will bring back a very high fire danger across the state.
