SAN JUAN COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Officials in San Juan County are investigating a fire they believe killed one person earlier Saturday. According to San Juan Fire & Rescue, crews were sent to an area between Farmington and Bloomfield to reports of a home on fire.
The department says the residents were still inside the home when crews arrived and were taken to the hospital after being removed. One of the residents was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the other resident is in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials do not suspect foul play at this time.
