NEW MEXICO (KRQE) –The New Mexico Department of Justice is taking even more legal action against the Trump Administration. Raúl Torrez has joined 15 other attorneys general in a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Education after it cut off millions of dollars for COVID-19 pandemic relief.
Education Secretary Linda McMahon said schools had “ample time” to spend that money. But the NMDOJ said the funds were cut without Congress’s approval. The lawsuit looks to restore that funding.
