The driving range features energy-efficient LEDs, designed to minimize effects on the night sky and adjacent areas. “The lights add to the attractiveness and atmosphere of Ladera and the Westside community is excited for more family-friendly evening activities as we move into warmer weather,” Mayor Tim Keller said in a release.

Ladera’s lighted driving range will be open April through October, giving the community a chance to test out their swings during the cooler evening hours in the summer. The City of Albuquerque has invested $1.8 million in improvements to Ladera. Improvements include a new tee line at the driving range, an improved clubhouse patio and other facility maintenance fixes. The city says Ladera saw 87,675 rounds played in 2024, up from 75,179 in 2023.
