ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man who was caught trying to put a dead body into a car will spend nearly a decade behind bars. In 2020, Carlos Morris shot and killed Teryn Kurtz at an apartment in southeast Albuquerque. Officers arrested Morris at the scene while he was loading the victim’s body into a car.
Earlier this year, Morris pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter. On Thursday, he was sentenced to 9.5 years behind bars.
