Albuquerque already spend more than $18 million of those funds, now councilors have signed off on a plan to allocate the rest. Under the plan $10 million will be immediately allocated to one-time grants for community nonprofits. $2.1 million will go to the city’s Health Housing and Homelessness Department to fund small service providers. $1.8 million will be invested into Albuquerque Public Schools Crossroads Program, which provides prevention and intervention counseling for students. Councilors also established priorities for future funds, including expanding Narcan access and leveraging recovery programs.
