TORRANCE COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish has an opportunity for those interested in learning the basics of archery and bowhunting. On Saturday, May 17, at Manzano Mountain State Park, the department is hosting its Bowhunter Skills Camp.
The camp is open to people of all ages, but those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The event will cover archery basics and safety, how to choose equipment, proper shot placement, outdoor preparedness, and more. Equipment will be provided for participants who do not have their own, but those who do have their own are encouraged to bring it.
