Dogs of various ages, sizes, breeds available at two ABQ adoption events this weekend 

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — Bernalillo County Animal Care Services is holding two adoption events this weekend. One is being held at Main Event on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the other at PetSmart on Louisiana Boulevard from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Dogs ranging in age, size and breed will be available for adoptions. At Saturday’s event, each adopter will be entered into a raffle for a family 4-pack, including wristbands for bowling, laser tag, arcade games, and more.

Available pets will be vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and come with a one-year pet license. Adoptions are donation-based. Those donations go to benefit animals without a home through Bernalillo County’s Quality of Life Community Fund. They cover items such as the following:

  • Emergency surgeries
  • Spay and neuter clinics
  • Vaccine and microchipping clinics
  • Collars
  • Leashes
  • Harnesses
  • Toys
  • Puppy pads
  • Blankets
  • Treats
  • Animal-related programs and outreach

Available animals are at Adopt-a-Pet or the Bernalillo County Animal Care Services facility at 3001 2nd St. S.W. Viewing hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
