County to host Backyard Refuge Day at Gutiérrez-Hubbell House 

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) –  Bernalillo County Open Space and the ABQ Backyard Refuge Program are inviting the community to its Backyard Refuge Day at the Gutiérrez-Hubbell House on Saturday.

The free, family-friendly event will celebrate local conservation efforts and provide hands-on opportunities to learn how to create wildlife-friendly spaces at home.

There will also be guided walks, educational workshops, interactive activities for kids, and a visit from the Conservation Carnivale – a mobile circus that teaches environmental education through visual, immersive, and performance arts.
