NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The New Mexico Department of Transportation is asking for the public’s help making state roadways more pleasing. Residents can now take a survey to share how they think the department can honor New Mexico’s multicultural traditions, celebrate our natural landscapes, and enhance the travel experience for residents and visitors.
NMDOT says the new initiative will help define our state’s visual identity for future generations. It will establish design guidelines for bridges, interchanges, sound walls, rest areas, and landscaping throughout the highway system.
The survey is open through March 31.
