ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – In all of New Mexico high school basketball, there was only one team to go undefeated in the 2024-2025 season. It was the Roy/Mosquero girls.
The Blue finished off its championship season in style as the team defeated defending champion Fort Sumner/House for the state title, 58-56.
The Blue trailed the Vixens by three at halftime. R/M then outscored FS/H 27-10 in the third quarter.
Tayla Proffitt finished with a team-high 24 points and 8 rebounds. Natalie Smith had 17 points. Sylviana Baca had a game-high 10 assists.
The win marks the second for the Blue since Roy and Mosquero joined forces. The team finished this season 30-0.
