Judge sentences man for fatal 2024 crash in Albuquerque 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man who was driving 50 mph over the speed limit causing a fatal crash was sentenced to one-and-a-half years behind bars Tuesday.

Isaiah Sena previously pleaded no contest to a charge of homicide by vehicle. In March 2024, police say Sena was street racing when he ran a red light and crashed into an SUV at Coors and Sevilla in Albuquerque. The crash killed the driver of the SUV, Philip Garcia. Judge Lucy Solimon sentenced Sena to one-and-a-half years at MDC, followed by more than four years of supervised probation.
