APD says the operation led to 46 cases being resolved and 55 people being located. Police say the operation also led to the identification of a shooting offender and a potential homicide case being discovered. “This operation combined sworn personnel with professional personnel. Our digital team, our victim advocates team, our homicide unit, our missing persons unit and every unit within the criminal investigation. It was an all hands on deck type of operations. This is the first of it’s kind for the department. It’s also the first of many to come,” APD 3rd Deputy in Charge George Vega said.

APD says it hopes to conduct more all-hands-on-deck type operations where multiple units spend a full day working together on certain types of cases.
