TUCUMCARI, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police will honor an officer killed in the line of duty with a memorial run. The inaugural Officer Justin Hare 5K Run/Walk is set for March 15th at Damon Kvols Park in Tucumcari. March 15 will mark one year since a gunman shot and killed Officer Hare along I-40.
Hare was known for kindness and his ability to connect with people. NMSP is accepting donations with all proceeds going to Hare’s daughters. Registration will be held from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. with the run/walk starting at 10 a.m. To register in advance, contact Lt.
