Roger Tannen shaved his head to show his dedication to supporting children’s cancer research. Nineteen years ago, Tannen’s 8-year-old nephew was diagnosed with leukemia. That’s when he decided to be the face of a fundraiser sponsored by the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

According to UNMH, research has helped improve childhood cancer survival rates from 10% percent to 85%. If you want to help, this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rio Rancho Events Center, they’re holding a head-shaving fundraiser.
