Exhibit honoring Native Americans who have served in U.S. armed forces opening in Rio Rancho

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – A new exhibit honoring generations of Native Americans who have served in the armed forces is set to open in Rio Rancho this spring. Why We Serve: Native Americans in the United States Armed Forces offers a look at native military involvement and explores their contributions to U.S. history.

The art display tells the story of native people’s patriotism but also their pursuit of education, employment, and adventure during wars dating back to the American Revolution.

The exhibit will be at the Loma Colorado Main Library from March 22-June 1.
