Which of Yelp’s top 100 restaurants for 2025 are near New Mexico?

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Yelp has released its list of the “Top 100 US Restaurants” for 2025, using community reviews to curate its list of some of the highest-rated and most popular eateries throughout the United States. Last year, Albuquerque’s St. James Tearoom made the list, but unfortunately, no New Mexico spots were named on this year’s ranking.

However, for those looking for a new place to try, several of the restaurants that made 2025’s list are within reasonable driving distance from the Land of Enchantment.

The list’s top-three spot, De Babel (No. 3), is located in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is just over six hours away from Albuquerque by car; the Arizona restaurant serves authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and is on Yelp’s Top 100 list for the third year in a row. Also on the list are Baja Cafe (No. 34), Buendia Breakfast & Lunch Cafe (No. 38), La Frida Mexican Grill & Seafood (No. 41), Tito & Pep (No. 56), Penelope (No. 65), and The Parish (No. 69), which are all located west of New Mexico in Tuscon, Arizona.

With quite a few ranking restaurants, New Mexico’s neighboring state of Texas could be worth a visit to check out some of the top-ranking spots. Texas’s nine restaurants that made 2025’s list include Tatsumi Sushi (No. 25) in Austin, EBESU Robata & Sushi (No. 32) in Plano, Mike’s Chicken (No. 51) and The Mayor’s House By Selda (No. 87) in Dallas, Southern Yankee Crafthouse (No. 59) in Houston, Yorienn Korean Fried Chicken (No. 75) in Carrollton, The Original Roy Hutchins Barbeque (No. 81) in Trophy Club, The Art of Donut (No. 96) in San Antonio, and Takara Sushi & Asian Bistro (No. 97) in Cedar Park.

One Colorado spot made the list: Ambli Global Cuisine (No. 95) in Denver. Similarly to New Mexico, no Utah restaurants made Yelp’s list for 2025. As for the Sooner State, one Oklahoma eatery made the list: Doctor Kustom (No. 58) in Tulsa, which is a roughly nine-hour drive from Albuquerque.
