Canada Rincon Trail now open to public in Santa Fe

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A Santa Fe project years in the making is finally open to the public. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held over the weekend for the Canada Rincon Trail. The .38 mile, ten-foot-wide multiuse path links Calle Mejia to Camino Francisca and Avenida Rincon and better connects pedestrians, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts.

This project has been in the works since 2012, but construction did not start until January of last year. The city said the added landscaping and improved non-motorized access help strengthen Santa Fe’s urban trail and bicycle network.
